How to Play Crosswords

New to crosswords? Here is everything you need to know to start solving online or on printed paper.

1. Cell Selection & Direction

Click or tap any cell in the grid to select it. Tap the cell again to toggle between Across and Down directions.

2. Keyboard Controls

Type letters using your physical keyboard or the accessible on-screen keyboard. Use Arrow keys to navigate the grid. Press Backspace to clear cells and move backwards.

3. Check, Hint & Reveal Controls

Under the Help menu, you can check specific letters, words, or the entire puzzle to find errors. You can also reveal letter, word, or full solution when stuck.

4. Printing for Offline Solving

Every puzzle includes a clean printable PDF option formatted for standard US Letter or A4 paper.
