Data and Puzzle Sources

Heavenly Crossword currently uses in-repository puzzle fixtures and an internally maintained clue-candidate seed list. This page states what those records do and do not prove.

1. Puzzle Fixtures

The current published puzzle records are local fixtures created for this application. They include grid data, entries, topic tags, source-policy labels, dates, and permanent puzzle paths. The repository does not contain a licensed commercial crossword archive.

2. Clue Candidate Data

Candidate records can include an answer, declared letter count, definition, part of speech, clue type, evidence label, source label, and internal review flag. The application verifies letter-count consistency and other required fields. It does not currently document a named licensed dictionary partnership or a complete historical crossword corpus.

3. AI Assistance & Human Review Policy

The application includes workflow states and internal review fields intended to keep draft records separate from indexable resources. Those safeguards do not establish who authored a record or which tools were used unless that provenance is documented on the record itself. See the Content Creation and AI-Assistance Disclosure.

4. Data Provenance & Licensing Registry

Source-policy and source-label fields exist in the fixture and clue records. A complete, externally auditable licensing registry is not currently published, so site copy must not imply one exists.

5. Correction & Reporting Process

If you discover an error in a clue, answer, definition, or letter count, use the Corrections Policy to prepare a report. The site does not promise a fixed review time.
