Every crossword on Heavenly Crossword Puzzle follows a structured creation process designed to ensure accuracy, originality, and solving enjoyment.

1. Theme & Grid Construction

Each puzzle starts with a theme or vocabulary domain. Constructors construct symmetrical grids (5×5, 7×7, 9×9, or 15×15) ensuring all white cells are connected via BFS graph checks.

2. Clue Authoring & Lexicon Verification

Clues are written for clarity, wordplay integrity, and interest. Every clue definition and letter count is checked against standard English dictionaries.

3. Editorial Review Workflow

Puzzles progress through Draft → In Review → Approved → Published. In multi-author mode, constructors cannot approve their own work. AI-assisted clues require human review before publication.
