Editorial Policy

Heavenly Crossword aims to publish useful puzzle and clue records without overstating what the current workflow proves. This policy separates mechanical application checks from documented human or external review.

Originality & Construction

Site contributors must not copy protected grid layouts, clue lists, or definitions from third-party publications. A local fixture or internal source label is not by itself proof of originality, authorship, or licensing; provenance should be documented when external material is used.

Lexicon & Definition Verification

The application checks declared answer lengths, required candidate fields, publication status, and an explicit indexing decision. Definitions and factual claims still require source-aware editorial review. “Internally reviewed” is not an external certification.

Review Workflow & Constructors

Puzzle records can move through the application's workflow states: Draft → In Review → Approved → Published. The Heavenly Editorial profile identifies the current internal site label, and the clue types guide explains the classifications used in site content.

Corrections

If you find an error in a clue, answer, definition, or letter length, use the Corrections Policy to provide a reproducible report. The site does not promise a fixed investigation or response time. Review the Data and Puzzle Sources page for current sourcing limits.
